There are eight feasts and a fast listed in Leviticus 23.
- The Sabbath
- The Passover
- Unleavened Bread
- Firstfruits
- The Feast of Weeks
- The Feast of Trumpets
- The Day of Atonement
- The Feast of Tabernacles
Even the Fast, the Day of Atonement, is included with the Feasts. This is because the word Mo’ed does not mean ‘feast’ as we understand the word. It means an appointed time or occasion. The Day of Atonement is as much an appointed occasion as all the others.
Besides these, two more were added at a later date
- Purim
- Hanukkah
The intention of this book is to examine these ten festivals to see what light they throw on New Testament truth and Israel’s prophetic future.
